The Family Historian Newspaper
A few years down our genealogy research path while continually hitting goldmine after goldmine of new and exciting family information, it dawned on Tracy that “hey, we’re officially Family Historians”. That term “Family Historians” stayed in the frontal lobe of her brain for quite some time. She finally said that we need to do something with it.
She had a vision of communicating and sharing this newly found research information with the rest of the family so “The Family Historian” was born as a project. We created a bi-annual newsletter with that title and launched Volume MMVI, Issue 001 on June 24, 2006 to begin the process. As it became larger and more demanding it transitioned to an annual distribution.
Over the years The Family Historian grew from an eight-page newsletter, with limited participation, to a twenty-page newspaper with family members from all over the world participating. They provided articles, editing, suggestions, photos, documents and general support. You can see the cover pages in the Library on this site.
Now, The Family Historians has transitioned into the digital media world. Hope you enjoy its continued growth.
