PORTSMOUTH, OH—Michael Malone Jr., son of Kathey (Hairston) and Michael Malone and 3rd great grandson of Tate Cornute, played on the Portsmouth High School (PHS) Junior Varsity Basketball Team, #23, as a shooting guard. Michael set a school record by shooting 69% from 3 point range during his sophomore season.
